Treat yourself to an amazing day out with Aboriginal Elder Willie Gordon.

Depart Cairns General Aviation Airport with Hinterland Aviation, Hangar 7, Tom McDonald Drive, Cairns. Flight departs Cairns at 6.45am (Check in required 45 minutes prior to departure)

Enjoy a 45 minute flight with spectacular views from Cairns to Cooktown as you fly along the coast between the World Heritage rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. On arrival in Cooktown you will be met by Guurrbi Tours.

Willie Gordon, the traditional storyteller of the Nugal-warra clan, takes guests to his ancestral rock art sites, set high in the hills above Hope Vale,

Here he shares the stories behind the art, and explains how the paintings speak of the essence of life and the lores of his people.

The Rainbow Serpent Tour takes you through a dramatic landscape to five rock art sites. This includes an estimated 30-minute bush walk, there is a short climb to two of the sites but generally on easy terrain. (Covered closed-in shoes must be worn)

Return to Cooktown at 1.15pm where Willie will transfer you to Restaurant 1770 for lunch which is located right on the waterfront with stunning views of the Endeavour River.

The remainder of the afternoon is free to explore historic Cooktown, before your transfer to Cooktown airport at 5.00pm for the return flight to Cairns, arriving at 6.50pm
