Please note: Day 1 of the itinerary is the day you arrive in Alice Springs. For example, if you book the tour with a start date of 6 March, you would arrive in Alice Springs on 6 March and start the camping tour on 7 March.

The 3 Day Uluru & Kings Canyon Camping Tour includes:

  • Sparkling wine and snacks at Uluru sunset

  • Uluru park entrance fee ($25pp)
  • Air conditioned bus
  • Quality healthy meals and drinking water

Day 1: Arrive in Alice Springs

Alice Lodge will collect you from the train or bus station, and transport you to Alice Lodge Backpackers where you will spend your first night in a dorm room. Travellers arriving from by flight to Alice Springs airport can get a special return price shuttle service.

*Day 2: Alice Springs to Uluru *

We pick you up outside Alice Lodge Backpackers at 5.45am and drive through the beautiful outback, viewing Mount Connor on the way to Uluru.

First stop at Uluru National Park is the Cultural Centre for an insight into the unique culture of the local Aboriginal people. We then head to Uluru for your choice of the following experiences:

  • 2 guided walks at Uluru (Mala & Mutitjulu Waterhole) and Cultural Centre visit
  • Full 10km Uluru base walk (unguided), Cultural Centre visit not included
  • Uluru climb (unguided, if open), Cultural Centre visit not included (please note: Uluru is a sacred site and the Anangu people ask visitors to respect their culture by not climbing the rock)

This evening we watch a spectacular Uluru sunset while enjoying a glass of sparkling wine. Then on to our campsite for hot showers, a hearty meal and a night sleeping in a swag under millions of outback stars or in one of our permanent tents. (Lunch, Dinner included)

*Day 3: Uluru Sunrise, Kata Tjuta and Kings Creek Station *

Up early for a spectacular Uluru sunrise and healthy breakfast. We then head to Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) for a guided 5.5km walk through the Valley of the Winds, followed by lunch. Next we drive to Kings Creek Station to relax and enjoy an outback BBQ. Tonight, after a hot shower, we will be sleeping in a safari tent. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

*Day 4: Kings Canyon and Mt Ebenezer to Alice Springs *

After breakfast, we drive to Kings Canyon for a guided 6km Canyon Rim Walk in one of the most spectacular areas of the outback. Visit the natural Amphitheatre, North and South Walls, and the exotic Garden of Eden along the way.

After lunch we return to Alice Springs stopping at Mount Ebenezer Roadhouse, arriving back to Alice Lodge early evening where you will spend the night in a dorm room. (Breakfast, Lunch included)

Day 5: Depart Alice Springs

Please Note: from 1 April 2016 sleeping bag hire will apply ($15pp) and catering for special diets will be charged as follows: Vegetarian = $25, Gluten Free = $25, Dairy Free = $15 – these charges are to be paid direct to Emu Run and are not commissionable
